Arundel is a market town in the Arun district of the South Downs. Its medieval history has largely been conserved, and it is home to a Roman Catholic cathedral. Just behind its much larger neighbour of Chichester, Arundel comes second for the amount of listed buildings in West Sussex. If you enjoy a balance of culture and coastal charm, Arundel has both the South Downs National Park and the coast nearby. It's a fantastic destination for a day trip, and whilst the main attraction is always the castle, there's plenty more to do in Arundel. About the castle though, it doubled as Windsor Castle in the 1994 film The Madness of King George, and it has been shown as it’s grand, beautiful self in the 2009 film The Young Victoria and in 2017 in Wonder Woman.
