Langstone Quays Resort is a harbour-side hotel and restaurant complex located in Chichester, nestled within an area which has been awarded the status of outstanding natural beauty. With an incredible location, the hotel looks out across the nearby greenery to one side, and the blue waters to the other, meaning wherever you are you'll have a fantastic view.
While there's plenty to do at Langstone Quays Resort, from enjoying one of the luxurious bedrooms to checking out the gym and swimming pool, a must-try is the in-house restaurant. The Waterside Restaurant has an ideal position overlooking the Langstone Harbour and Estuary, which you can see from inside the restaurant thanks to the stretching windows, or in the warmer weather on the outside terrace.
The restaurant's design is contemporary, elegant and relaxing, with larger tables and lounge seating hued in a plethora of soft greys. A stylish light installation dangles overhead and around the space ceramic ornaments add a flourish of decoration, making it a lovely spot for a casual lunch or special dinner.
There's a range of menus available; in the daytime easy-going snacks are on offer such as sandwiches with fillings like smoked salmon, prawn, avocado and Marie Rose sauce, or lemon houmous with roasted red pepper.
In the evenings, you'll find regularly changing menus of seasonal produce, alongside daily specials from the team. Start your evening with a couple of nibbles such as harissa houmous and pitta or marinated olives, before moving on to starters such as ham hock terrine and Korean fried chicken wings.
Signature main dishes include slow cooked shin of beef with truffled celeriac puree, horseradish mash and confit carrot in a beef jus, as well as crispy beer battered cod with triple cooked chips and mushy peas. For afters, salted caramel brownies and sticky toffee pudding sound like the perfect finishing touch.
