Whether you're planning an intimate dinner, perhaps for friends, family or colleagues, or something much bigger, like a corporate event or wedding reception, Hotel Café Royal is a central London venue which boasts history, beauty and a plethora of versatile private dinner spaces.
Hotel Café Royal was established back in 1845, created by a French wine merchant keen to create a place for the best of the city to come together. With stunning architecture, gold-gilded ballrooms, an incredible selection of food and wines and an ideal location on Regent Street, it has hosted some of Britain's most treasured personalities over the years, from Oscar Wilde to David Bowie.
If your attitude is go big or go home, the Pompadour Ballroom will have your guests gasping with its Louis XVI style decor, fluted Corinthian pilasters and rich decorative ceiling. Here, you can host 250 people standing, 120 for a banquet or 100 for a dinner and dance. The space can be transformed however you'd like, from a lounging space to stage and dance floor.
For more glamour there's the gorgeous Grade II listed Oscar Wilde room, decorated with ornate gold detailing and painted ceilings and named after one of its most famous patrons. Imagine throwing a party where some of the 19th century's best thinkers and artists shook a tail feather. As well as enough space for a 60-person reception or 42-person banquet, this room also boasts a grand piano for a sophisticated jingle.
For a more modern space, take a look at the Soho room with wooden walls and ceiling, full of sleek lines and stylish light installations. We like the large, industrial-style windows which look out to the street below and fill the space with natural light. For corporate events, brand launches, workshops or meetings, this is a fantastic space.
There are eight private dining rooms at Hotel Café Royal and that's not including the restaurants - so if you're interested in hosting an event, speak to the team about your needs.
