After last year's success, we're excited to announce the return of the Growers Champagne tasting. Organised by six of the UK's leading voices on the subject: Lea & Sandeman, Les Caves de Pyrene, Newcomer Wines, The Winemakers Club, Vine Trail and Vins-Clairs. Each will be opening a varied and fun selection of the producers they represent. This is a rare opportunity to taste bottles that don't often get shared, poured by the people who know them best.

Expect to taste around 50 Champagne's made by 30 elite growers on the day, including rare bottlings.

Growers Champagne producers are defined as those who grow their own fruit and make their own wine. Often favouring single-vineyard bottlings and single-vintage releases, the wines tend to be a snapshot of time and place. With each producer, the range of possibility grows. This tasting is a rare chance to see where that movement stands today — wines from the growers who helped start it, poured alongside the up-and-coming names carrying it forward.

Wine expert & social media sensation, Tom Gilbey is back to hosts a five-course tasting menu with wine pairing at Sam’s Waterside in Brentford.

The events, organised in collaboration with co-Founder, Sam Harrison, will feature oysters and fizz on arrival followed by a five-course meal accompanied by a selection of wines chosen by Tom.

Known to his online following as “The Wine Guy”, Gilbey has built a substantial audience on Instagram, where he discusses wine in an informal style, describing himself as “an accidental Instagram sensation, marathon runner and now author”.

During the evenings, guests will be welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine and oysters before the tasting menu begins. Gilbey will guide guests through each course’s wine pairing, sharing background on the producers and his own experiences in the industry. An interactive Q&A will also take place, giving guests the chance to put questions to Gilbey on wine and on his use of social media.
