About

For couples dreaming of a countryside wedding that combines natural beauty, historic charm and genuine eco-credentials, Rhosygilwen offers something truly special. Set deep in the rolling Pembrokeshire landscape, this hidden gem is far more than a pretty backdrop, it’s a place where memories are made, where the stresses of modern life melt away, and where sustainability is at the heart of every celebration.

Available for two-day exclusive hire, Rhosygilwen offers couples full use of the magnificent Oak Hall, the elegant Orangery, and a charming courtyard of on-site bed and breakfast rooms. The venue’s standout feature is undoubtedly the Oak Hall - a soaring, oak-beamed space that is as adaptable as it is atmospheric. It can host up to 150 guests for a wedding breakfast and 220 for the evening reception, with space to dine, dance and toast beneath its vaulted ceiling until midnight.

For more intimate moments, the Orangery provides a sunlit sanctuary for ceremonies or quiet conversation; its chequered floor and leafy views making it the perfect space to connect with nature. Whether you choose to wed in the Oak Hall or Orangery, the venue flows seamlessly into your reception, with a fully stocked bar, catering kitchen and help from the in-house team to coordinate the smooth running of the day.

But Rhosygilwen’s appeal doesn’t stop at beautiful rooms. As the first wedding venue in Wales to be partially powered by its own solar farm, it offers couples the chance to have a truly eco-conscious wedding without sacrificing on style or comfort. From Pembrokeshire-sourced wines and beers to locally recommended caterers, everything reflects the venue’s commitment to sustainability.

And with onsite bed and breakfast accommodation for close family, plus links to nearby hotels, you and your guests can settle in for the full experience - making a weekend of exploring the surrounding coast, countryside and historic towns. Rhosygilwen is a tranquil, soulful space where every detail works in harmony with the land around it.

The Oak Hall

The Oak Hall

Ceremony Capacity: 150
Reception Capacity: 220

The Oak Hall boasts a lovely oak floor and a green oak frame. The Orangery can become a quieter area for later in the evening for your guests to sit and chat while still close to the music and dancing areas. The Hall itself is an airy building with a lovely atmosphere which retains a feeling of warmth and intimacy, much of it due to a magnificent mural. The Hall looks just as stunning decorated with fairy lights (which are included!) and candles as it does dressed up with vintage bunting and rustic bouquets. You can dress it up however you desire.

Testimonials for Rhosygilwen

One of our favourite wedding venues in West WalesNOVEMBER, 2023

Rhosygilwen is one of our favourite wedding venues in West Wales. It’s got a gorgeous green oak music hall with an airy atrium overlooking the Pembrokeshire countryside. It has some gorgeous grounds, with lakes, woodland, gardens, garden houses, wild meadows and the beautiful Mansion itself. So many different types of location that having photographed here over a dozen times we’ve never had to reuse the same location for couple portraits!

5 stars from meAPRIL, 2023

As an Awarded and Accredited Civil Celebrant I have the lovely pleasure of conducting ceremonies at such wonderful venues. And today I did exactly that! Rhosygilwen Retreat is a Gem of a venue, and buildings are so captivating and have a mixture of Period property's through to modern gothic/barn/hall design, giving this venue a romantic and chic style. Friendly staff and James and his team were so friendly. For a opulent though countryside venue with a difference look no further that this venue.
