Sam's Waterside in Brentford pride themselves on their Modern British menus, which spotlight the finest seasonal produce sourced locally and across the UK. The kitchen is dedicated to collaborating with small artisan suppliers, ensuring the highest quality ingredients from meat, fish, and seafood to fruits and vegetables. The wine selection is curated with care by Sam, who handpicks each bottle – with many of them wines originating from wineries personally visited by Sam, who remembers the relationships and memories he has made with their producers.
Head chef Jacob Keen Downs says “"it’s a joy to head up the kitchen here at Sam's Waterside, the most impressive thing about the restaurant is the brilliant team we’ve managed to find. The menu I’ve created here will reflect the seasons, bold flavours & playful dishes as well as some timeless classics. I like to keep it fresh & we’re constantly playing with new ideas and changing with the seasons."
The menu focuses on serving the best that British ingredients can offer. For the table, enjoy a potato and onion focaccia with koroneiki extra virgin olive oil and parmesan churros. Raw snacks include Carlingford Lough oysters, and starters range from the handmade burrata di Puglia with decana pear, pickled pumpkin and aged balsamic, along with the crispy duck with watercress, persimmon, citrus and chilli. Meat lovers will enjoy the Bloody Mary steak tartare with horseradish and quails eggs. For your main try the ricotta and truffle ravioli with king oysters, baby spinach and pine nuts, or the delcia pumpkin and coconut masala with romanesco, pomegranate and spiced samosas.
Don't forget about desserts and enjoy the Chiswick House apple pie with homemade vanilla ice cream or the Baron Bigod brie with pane carasau, damson jelly and wildflower honey.
