For all of your group dining needs in central London, there's OXBO Bankside. As the name suggests, this contemporary restaurant has a stunning location, close to the Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe, not far from the river.
Lofty ceilings, statement lighting and industrial furniture come together for a cool vibe and relaxed ambience, which still feels cosy and welcoming. You're more than welcome to book a table for a larger party if planning a dinner with friends, family or colleagues, but if you chat to the team they'll be happy to help you organise something a little more special.
For starters, group dinners at OXBO of 20 people or more are given a welcome drink on the house! Then, there's a delicious seasonal menu with plenty of options across starters, mains and desserts. While the menu changes regularly, you can check out the sample menu online for a taste of what to expect. For example, starters might look like a mix of grilled baby aubergine and spiced aubergine with red onion and pomegranate salad, falafel, houmous and coconut and mint yogurt, alongside short rib of beef and hash croquettes with celeriac rémoulade, Belgian endive and wholegrain mustard.
For mains, we like the sound of the potato gnocchi with oven roasted heritage tomatoes, grilled asparagus and pesto for a vegetarian option, or classic chicken breast with wild mushroom, pea and broad bean risotto with shaved Parmesan, rocket and basil oil. Finally, those with a hankering for pudding will love chocolate and coconut tart with passion fruit and coconut sorbet or crème brûlée with spiced plum jam.
If you really want to treat your gang, you can also organise a drinks package to keep everyone happily watered with options for a glass of bubbly on arrival and half a bottle of wine per person for the meal, as well as half a bottle of water, too.
