The name and the lime-green interior might give a first impression of an upmarket juice bar, but this lively all day café has much more to offer. Part of Jewish community hub JW3, the menu is entirely kosher and utterly, lip-lickingly tempting. Though there are a few fish dishes on the menu (a Zest bouillabaisse and hot pickled red mullet both feature), the emphasis is on vegetables. Start with shakshuka – soft boiled egg with feta, zhoug and crispy onion – or fried cauliflower with lime aïoli and spicy chilli salsa, move on to sweet potato gnocchi with burnt aubergines, Greek yoghurt and pomegranate, or pan-fried halibut with fried noodles and apple. Puds are not the strongest but there’s an irresistible array of cakes and pastries on the counter. Check ahead for Saturday opening times, which vary due to the Sabbath.
