Dating back to Anglo-Saxon times, Totnes is a market town in Devon and was listed in the Doomsday Book of 1086. The town's earliest charter is dated 1205, when it was a walled town that commanded the lowest crossing of the river. The town is located within the south Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. And, so many people who are visiting the south coast visit Totnes each year.
