A suburb in West London, Ruislip is known for its beautiful properties and architecture, along with its grand gardens and fantastic community spirit. You can stroll through antique and flea markets, visit the Ruislip Lido – which is a 60 acre lake with sandy beaches set on the edge of the woods. Or, take a trip to the Polish Air Force Memorial, which is in memory of airmen from Poland who served in the Royal Air Force as part of the efforts in World War II. The Inbetweeners TV series was actually filmed in Ruislip High School, and many of the other locations you'll spot in the teen favourite programme will be those you stroll past in Ruislip. The Manor of Ruislip was once owned by a Saxon named Wlward Wit, and at one point, there was a Norman castle. It's easy to see why this suburb oozes with history.
