Steak house and sushi bar Nova brings its luxurious dishes and glitzy interiors to Park Royal in West London. This is the sort of place where diners can choose from a dedicated sushi menu, indulge in steaks finished with 24-karat gold and sip on bespoke cocktails at the glittering gold bar. There is also a shisha lounge where guests can enjoy a three-course meal alongside a variety of shisha flavours.
The restaurant is comprised of multiple spaces, from the main dining room to a central island cocktail bar, chef’s table and a space called Upper Nova, which overlooks the main restaurant and can seat up to 60 guests. The interiors boast an up-to-date, art-deco feel, with colourful shell seating, circular yellow booths, glam gold finishes and fake foliage. A central green-tiled cocktail bar is the main focal point, illuminated by gold strip lighting and offering comfortable stool seating for those who just fancy trying one of its signature cocktails.
There are two menus: the a la carte offering and a separate sushi menu. The la carte menu features a range of Anatolian dishes, from mezze to mangal (barbecue), with plenty of small and large plates on offer. Start with beef tataki served with caramelised onion ponzu, crispy garlic and spring onion, barbecued lamb steak with garlic butter or a selection of mezze, from baba ghanoush to dolmades (stuffed vine leaves). The main event, of course, is its premium steaks, with a range of cuts available, as well as a host of sauces and sides to serve. The sushi menu, meanwhile, features a selection of special rolls, nigiri, sashimi, gyoza and maki.
Central to its drinks list are a range of innovative twist-on-a-classic cocktails. Examples include the Novagroni (Campari, gin and orange), and the Supernova (raspberry-infused gin, rose and lime). Elsewhere, a global wine list, premium Champagnes, spirits, beers and soft drinks are also available.
