Baarish Restaurant and Bar is a neighbourhood Indian cuisine restaurant in Wembley, serving up a mix of traditional North Asian dishes packed with flavour. The space is perfect for any occasion, from simple get togethers with friends or family, as well as birthday meals out and even date night. In fact, we think you'll love the decor which showcases exposed brick architectural features alongside modern artworks and atmospheric lighting, which gives the whole space an ambient glow.
The restaurant offers both in-house dining as well as takeaway options and the team are enthusiastic about catering for vegetarian customers, offering plant-based options throughout the menu. Whethe you're in eating in or out, why not start with a selection of smaller plates to share.
From the vegetarian menu, we like the sound of the paneer cutlets spiced with onions, chilli and ginger, alongside beetroot tikki chaat topped with yogurt and assorted chutneys. Mix dishes like these with options such as Tandoori chicken wings, Masala prawns or the Tandoori mixed grilled with a selection of cuts.
As for main dishes, try out the likes of tadka daal or saag paneer, as well as classics like butter chicken and methi lamb. If you have a soft spot for biryani currys, Baarish Restaurant and Bar have the full spread with fillings such as vegetables, chicken, prawn and gosht dum. Pair with jeera rice, steamed rice and biryani rice, or naans topped with the likes of garlic, peshwari or cheese and coriander.
If all that sounds good, wait until you see the dessert list. The coconut supreme has to be a must try, and we'd love to know more about the orange surprise, but it looks like details for that one are deliberately off limits, which adds to the fun. Finally, you have to wash it all down with a traditional cup of Masala Chai.
