London’s first-ever Christmas sandwich festival is landing this month

A festival dedicated entirely to Christmas sandwiches is coming to London this month. UK sandwich festival Sarnie Party has announced its first ever festive edition with a three-day special set to take place at Peckham's Copeland Park.

Forget soggy sandos and dry turkey between a couple of measly slices of bread. Some of London's best sandwich creators have dreamt up a host of exclusive holiday creations (designed specifically for this festival), showcasing everything from indulgent cheese toasties to Iberico Xmas-sliders.

Popping up from Friday 15 to Sunday 17 November, fans of seasonal sarnies will be able to choose from a mega line-up of sandwich vendors across the three days.

So who'll be there? The festival boasts 20 of the UK's top chefs who will each be delivering a never- seen-before Christmas creation, with everything from classic turkey and cranberry combos to unique and creative festive twists. Expect the likes of Focaccia Mia, The Cheese Truck, TOU, Ruben's Reubens, The Black Pig, Dough Hands, Rogue Sarnies and plenty more.

If you, like us, think the most important part of Christmas is finding the ultimate Christmas sandwich, then you'll be right at home here.

Menus have already been announced with stellar sarnies such as the Boxing Day Curry (roast turkey, curry mayo, carrot and onion bhaji in a milk seed bun) and Fish-Mass Fizz (prosecco battered salmon, dill and pink peppercorn mayo and 'nduja, honey and caper salsa). Each day also sees a great variety of veggie options such as the San-Prese (cranberry, honey and walnut gremolata, buffalo mozzarella and crushed walnuts) or The Big Cheese (cauliflower cheese, hispi and apple slaw, cranberry hot sauce and crispy onions).

This Christmas extravaganza will have more than just top-tier sandos. Guests can expect mulled drinks galore, festive singalongs and sweet treats from Lil Wong Bakes and even more sarnies (this time in ice-cream form) from Happy Endings.

Molly Hutchinson, co-founder of Sarnie Party says: 'We’ve been working on Sarnie Party, Christmas Special since we created the Sarnie Party brand earlier this year. It feels like the perfect opportunity to host some amazing sandwich shops serving up some bespoke Christmas Sandwiches all whilst kicking off the festive season - what’s not to love. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to Copeland Park, Peckham this November for what will be the first of many Sarnie Party, Christmas Specials.'

Tickets cost £30 for adults and includes entry plus three festive sandwiches.
