Aldi brings back bottomless pigs in blankets restaurant for 2024

After a triumphant debut last year, Aldi is bringing back its legendary bottomless pigs in blanket restaurant to London for Christmas 2024. This Shoreditch pop-up will open for just two days, 29 and 30 November, from 12:30 to 8:30pm, offering unlimited servings of this festive favourite for only £5 per person. All proceeds will benefit Neighbourly, an award-winning platform dedicated to helping businesses positively impact local communities.

Last year’s pop-up served up over 10,000 pigs in blankets, and this year promises to be even more exciting, reflecting the supermarket’s quirkiest selection of pigs in blankets to date, recently released as part of the Aldi Christmas food 2024 range. Along with six courses of pigs in blankets, guests can expect bottomless refills and a complimentary welcome drink on arrival.

In a similar fashion to London hotspot Bob Bob Ricard's 'Press for Champagne' button, the ‘Press for PIBs’ button will also return, allowing diners to start the six-course menu all over again, and as many times as they like within their allotted time slot. Alongside more traditional interpretations, highlights from the Aldi Pig in Blanket Restaurant menu include the world's first vegan footlong pig in blanket, a hot and spicy pig in blanket roulette, loaded Yorkshire sliders, and a cheesy bacon-wrapped number. All piggies in the festive range will go to (super)market on various dates between November 27 and December 19.

The announcement of the bottomless restaurant coincides with a recent poll which saw Aldi claim top spot as the nation’s favourite supermarket for pigs in blankets. Aldi sold more than 42 million pigs in blankets last year and is projected to hit record sales with a whopping 46 million in 2024. Londoners are the biggest enthusiasts, consuming an average of 14 pigs in blankets per person over the festive season, significantly more than other cities like Bristol, where the average is only eight.

Bookings for the Aldi Pig in Blanket Restaurant on Bethnal Green Road are now open, with limited space reserved for walk-ins - so you can chance your luck!
