Every year, the nation awaits the launch of Greggs’ Festive Bakes with hungry anticipation. The good news is that the much-loved savoury treat has returned again for 2024. Everyone can go and breathe a sigh of relief.
The classic signature bake is an indulgent creation filled with chicken breast pieces, sage and onion stuffing, Sweetcure bacon and a creamy sage and cranberry sauce, all wrapped in a warm pastry shell topped with a smattering of breadcrumbs. Who wouldn’t be excited for that? The brand usually launches a an equivalent bake for plant-based eaters, and this year we can confirm that the Vegan Festive Bake is back on the menu! The item is made with vegan puff pastry, and filled with Quorn™ pieces, sage and onion stuffing balls, vegan bacon, and cranberry and red onion sauce.
But the real question is: when will the Festive Bake be available to buy in stores? Fans of the annual treat don't have long to wait. Greggs has officially announced that its Festive Bake will land in UK shops from Thursday 7 November 2024.
But that's not all! The UK-wide bakery has also revealed its first-ever Christmas advert starring a very special guest... the one and only Nigella Lawson. The 60-second video shows Nigella enjoying various items from Greggs' Christmas menu, including its popular festive bakes. Hawk-eyed viewers will notice that both the classic festive bake and the vegan festive bake are set to return in 2024, along with plenty more seasonal items. 'Sweet mince pies, aromatic gingerbread lattes and gorgeous Christmas baguettes' are all referenced by the TV chef in the video.

What else is on Greggs' Christmas menu?
Aside from its famous Festive Bakes, the North East-based bakery has introduced plenty of new and returning Christmas treats to the range. The Christmas Lunch Baguette is confirmed to make a comeback, a freshly baked baguette filled with sage and onion flavoured chicken breast, bacon, onion gravy, cramberry and onion relish, and cheese.
New to the menu this year is the Festive Flatbread, a warm flatbread stuffed with sage and onion style chicken mayo, sweetcure bacon, and cranberry and red onion relish. While the Vegan Festive Bake is back with a new and improved recipe!

The Festive Bake is returning for 2024
On the sweet front, expect Mince Pies and a cohort of indulgent drinks. There's a Mint Hot Chocolate on the menu, topped with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles, as well as a Mint Mocha for coffee fans. You'll also be able to order a Gingerbread Latte, hot or iced, or a Gingerbread Flat White for something a little stronger.
New for 2024 are the Toffee Fudge Muffin, packed with toffee pieces and topped with toffee frosting, plus a Chocolate and Hazelnut Flavour Doughnut. Check out the full list of menu items below:
