Despite being told we could sit in the garden, where “there is table service” this doesn't actually materialise. Not approached at all for our orders, had to get up in the end and order at the salad bar myself. And take my order back to the table myself. Plus ask for some cutlery. The drinks were dropped off at our table though – one at a time, no glass to pour into. When it came to paying, we were told to take our tab no to the till. Though we hadn't actually been provided with a tab no. The waitress rang up our bill for us, incorrectly overcharging an item. We paid and only found this out later, as well as the fact that they'd had the cheek to add a service charge. We wouldn't have paid that if we'd actually been given a bill to review rather than just a sum cost to take to the till. Overall, pretty shit frankly. You get better service at Pret, and the food here wasn't far off what you get there either.

Great atmosphere, a very true representation of smart/casual, coupled with delicious food and a beautiful outside space for the summer time this is a real gem.

It's time to bring the Square Meal review up to date! We went to Megan's for the first time last night, on a recommendation, and it's a different place – in the evening at least. The food is original and absolutely delicious – the best scallops I have had, fish soup, artichokes: all wonderful – then grilled mains: chicken paillard, lamb, selection of grilled fish all perfectly prepared and presented. Plus delicious breads, decent wines, charming service, pretty interior – I thought we hadn't been charged enough. Go now, while you can still get a table.

One of London’s hidden little treasures, Megan’s never fails to deliver a wonderful experience!? The quality of the food was very impressive at very reasonable prices. The staff were very helpful and polite. In addition, the amazing garden at the back makes the ambience top notch. Every visit is just guaranteed to be an absolute treat – highly recommended!
