Family favourite national chain Bella Italia is always guaranteed to offer hearty, crowd-pleasing dishes and this Bristol shopping centre branch is no different. Based inside the Cabot Circus complex, there is something for everyone on the menu, and this branch's convenient location makes it the perfect spot to take a break from any retail therapy. So whether you're looking for a quick lunch to refuel, or a full three-course meal, this outpost of Bella Italia has got you covered.
The restaurant has a few tables dotted around on an outdoor terrace area if you don't fancy being right amid the hustle and bustle of the main dining room area. Inside, there's a real sense of fun to the decor with splashes of bright colours in every direction. Neon signs hang from an exposed brick wall at the back of the restaurant and a selection of framed pictures adorn a turquoise wall one the other side.
Food-wise, the lengthy menu covers a huge amount of ground. Starters range from simple dishes like a caprese and bruschetta, to calamari and king prawns baked in garlic and chilli butter. For main course, expect pasta dishes such as cacio e pepe, pollo pesto, and a classic carbonara, and selection of plates from the grill including chicken rustic and a sirloin steak. There is also, of course, a variety of classic pizzas on offer which vary from a traditional Margherita to a salami dolcelatte that comes topped with blue cheese. Meanwhile the pudding menu features tiramisu and cookie dough al forno among other tempting options.
To accompany the food menu, there is a selection of alcoholic and soft drinks on offer. As well as a decent number of wines available by the bottle and glass, there’s also plenty of cocktail options, as well as beers, ciders, and cocktails for non-drinkers.
