With sites across the UK, affordable Italian restaurant Zizzi has earned a reputation for itself as among one of the better names on the nation’s high street. While some diners might dismiss national chains, there is also a comfort in finding a familiar menu wherever you are, as well as one that doesn’t blow the budget.
The Zizzi in Bristol’s Cabot Circus is conveniently located inside the popular shopping centre, finding its home right next door to the cinema, making the restaurant perfect for a pre- or post-film watching feast. Longtime fans of Zizzi will recognise the rustic-chic look in the dining room, which has been replicated on high streets up and down the country. You can expect to find a dining room decked out in neutral colour tones and filled with wooden tables and chairs, while an open kitchen gives diners full view of the wood-burning oven in which Zizzi’s signature pizzas are made.
Speaking of pizzas, here you will find a selection of classic and contemporary pizzas to choose from, ranging from traditional circular pizzas to ones cooked in a rustic, rectangular style and served on wooden boards. There are ‘skinny’ pizzas too which contain considerably fewer calories and boast healthy toppings, while folded-over pizzas are available too in the shape of calzones.
Elsewhere, Zizzi’s menu also offers up other Italian staples, such as pasta, meat and seafood dishes, while vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free diners are catered for too thanks to dedicated menus. From Zizzi’s regular list of mains, you can choose to enjoy lemon butter sea bass or chicken breast dusted with sage, wrapped in prosciutto ham and served in a white wine sauce.
Desserts are taken care of via the likes of honeycomb cheesecake or tiramisu, while the little ones can enjoy the dedicated Bambino menu.
