Specialising in casual Japanese dining, Wagamama has become a high-street staple in the UK and you’ll find it hard to find a town or city that doesn’t have at least one. It’s good to know you are never too far from one though so we see this as a positive.
Onto the menu and you’ll find Ramens, katsu’s and rice bowls galore. Try one of the many flavours of Ramen including miso cod, chilli prawn and tantanmen beef brisket to name a few. If you aren’t after something as warm and hearty its fresh salads which include pad thai and tofu harusame glass noodle salad are a good option to go for.
Since you are in Wagamama it also makes sense to go for a Katsu curry. The mild and hearty curry comes in a range of options including Yasai katsu curry made with sweet potato, aubergine and butternut squash, vegatsu – made with seitan – and of course the classic chicken.
If noodle are your thing, thankfully there is no shortage of dishes to choose from. From yaki soba, to pad thai with a selection vibrant veggies and meats they are bound to keep you full all day. The donburi rice bowls are also a simple but good option to go for.
Last but not least finish your meal with a dessert. Although not typically known for its desserts, Wagamama mixes Asian ingredients into traditional western desserts to create new and tasty creations. Opt for the white chocolate and matcha cheesecake or if you are a diehard katsu fan, the banana katsu with salted caramel ice cream may be your new favourite dessert.
With communal tables, great lighting and a buzzy atmosphere, it is hard to go wrong with a Wagamama, so next time you are in need of a quick dinner or are just craving a ramen, you know that Wagamama will be there to save the day.
