Located just two miles west of Bromley town centre, Beckenham is a dynamic town boasting a rich history, a tight-knit community and plenty of green spaces, while maintaining easy access to central London via train. In particular, Beckenham Place Park is a great destination for a sunny day, featuring a large lake that you can swim in, a golf course and plenty of wooded areas to explore. More central, Cator Park is another green space which features a tranquil grassy area, sports facilities and an impressive range of wildlife.

Beckenham also boasts a star-studded past and was once home to Enid Blyton, Julie Andrews, The Kinks and David Bowie. Bowie actually wrote Life on Mars whilst residing in the area and got his iconic Ziggy hairdo at a salon on the high street. The cultural background of the town has endured, and the annual Beckenham festival, centred around the arts, features live music, theatre shows and the like.

With historic roots dating back to the Anglo-Saxon era, this lively area quickly transformed from a quaint hamlet to a thriving suburb due to the invention of the railway. From there, its expansion was exponential, attracting residents and businesses alike to the vibrant town it is today. Undoubtedly, this is a popular place to live, with people moving to Beckenham for its green spaces, plentiful amenities, numerous activities and, of course, thriving restaurant scene.
