The Mandrake is an award-winning luxury hotel in the heart of London’s Fitzrovia that brings together art, culture and design under one roof. From its opulent rooms to its many dining and drinking destinations, guests are taken on an immersive, like-no-other experience.
Its private dining room is no exception to the rule. The walls are coated in a rich red lacquer and the detailed design of the space has been artfully achieved by using 28 individual paint processes. With careful lighting illuminating the room with a warm red glow, the dramatic private dining room at The Mandrake is a unique setting in which to host a private event. It can cater for up to 20 guests for breakfast, lunch or dinner, but can also be booked at any other time of day for corporate meetings and events.
The food is just as transportive as the interiors, serving botanical cocktails and South American inspired cuisine. Akin to the food served at the main restaurant YOPO, which can also be exclusively hired out for up to 54 guests, Head Chef George Scott-Toft has created dishes inspired by his travels throughout Argentina, Chile and Peru. Examples of dishes include scallop crudo with tomatillo and mango, roast Cornish pollock with artichoke, onions and sherry and mushrooms tostada with pumpkin seed mole and cactus. Discover flavours and combinations you’ve never tried before with some truly innovative cooking.
Diners can choose from a selection of low intervention Argentinian wines or peruse the ever-evolving cocktail list. There is one named Carnivorus Lady which blends whisky, vermouth, campari, tomato ponzu and strawberry, for an intriguing twist on a negroni.
Please note the dress code does specify smart casual attire and there is a minimum spend for those looking to hire out the private dining room.
