Londoners will know Liverpool Street as the buzzing bridge between Shoreditch and Bank, where City slickers rub shoulders with Hackney-bound hipsters. There's a fantastic mix of bars and restaurants but at the heart of it all is Broadgate Circle, a purpose built complex which boasts one of the best ramen spots in the area, Shoryu Ramen.
If you've got a passion for Japanese cuisine and are hosting an event, having a birthday party or are planning an after-work get-together for colleagues, the team at Shoryu Ramen are excited to have you. While there isn't a private dining room per say, you're welcome to book a collection of tables, take over part of the restaurant or even discuss having the place to yourselves.
The space sits right in the middle of Broadgate Circle, with a small outdoor terrace and tables which look onto other restaurants. Inside, the space is long and narrow, mimicking typical Japanese restaurants you'd likely find in Tokyo. Seating is toned in natural colours and has a minimalist style, again, in-keeping with traditional Japanese aesthetics.
An impressive feature of the space is the open kitchen which offers an element of theatre and drama, as the chefs get to work right in front of diners eyes. In particular, the team are proud of their open robata grill, which is a traditional Japanese cooking technique and quite a thrill to behold.
But, all of this talk of the kitchen has probably got you feeling hungry - so let's move onto the food! On the menu you'll find an amazing selection of ramen with classic recipes, vegan options and specials, like the Miso Wafu Chicken. But, there's plenty more to enjoy, too. Think Shoryu buns stuffed with BBQ pork or spicy fried chicken, alongside donburi bowls with a mix of toppings and salmon poke bowls, for those who want something a little lighter.
