Floor-to-ceiling windows at the Shangri-La guarantee exquisite views of London’s skyline and all its most famous landmarks, including Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, the London Eye, St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Tate Modern, Shakespeare’s Globe, Tower Bridge and the Tower of London, making it one of the most sought-after spaces for events in the capital. The hotel boasts three beautiful, light-filled spaces for private dining and events that need to have that wow-factor as well as everything else you could want from an event space.
Located on Level 34, 125 metres up, the Shangri-La Hotel at The Shard offers versatility and style in each of its three private rooms, Ren, Yi and Li. Ren, the hotel’s stunning ballroom, is the largest of the three with space for banquet dinners of up to 100 guests or standing receptions for up to 140. Eye-catching crystal chandeliers and the spectacular northerly views make this otherwise blank canvas an ideal space for everything from meetings and conferences to Champagne receptions and large-scale dinner parties. Alternatively, the room can be divided into two separate spaces of equal size for more intimate affairs, or a lunch or dinner with private pre-drinks.
The Li Room is smaller, but no less impressive with its huge windows looking out on to London’s West End and its sleek, modern décor. With space for 25 delegates for a theatre-style presentation, 30 for lunches and dinners or 35 for a stand-up reception, Li is an ideal choice for business meetings, conferences and private dining. The Yi Room faces east, so guests can gaze out upon Canary Wharf while dining. The smallest of the three rooms, Yi can accommodate 12 for small-scale corporate or private gatherings.
When it comes to dining, you’ll find menus that use seasonal British ingredients in Euro-accented dishes, many peppered with bright Asian flavours. The events team will be happy to discuss menu options, along with any other private dining requirements you have.
