On the hunt for a private dining room that wows? Located on the 32nd floor of The Shard, Oblix is a rooftop restaurant, bar and lounge that’s sure to turn your guests’ heads. Settle into its contemporary dining room and enjoy spectacular panoramic views of London’s skyline from West to East.
Oblix is split into two separate spaces: East and West. The West is its more sophisticated option, home to a large open kitchen, rotisserie and grill, as well as views of – you guessed it – the west side of London. This would be an excellent option for smart private dinners. You can choose to hire the whole space for up to 130 seated guests, while smaller groups might choose to enjoy a semi-private dinner at its refectory-style Library Table for up to 12 guests. The interiors feature tan leather upholstery, aubergine suede wall panels, ebony wood and stone counters for an expensive feel.
If you choose to book a private dinner in West, executive chef Felix Petrucco has created a menu revolving around steaks and grills. The a la carte includes dishes such as steak with peppercorn sauce, barbecue Iberico pork ribs with jalapeno salsa verde and lime, and Cedar smoked black cod with pickled onion and citrus.
The East is a more relaxed bar and lounge area. You might choose to hire this space for a canapes and drinks party, or to enjoy casual dining such as bowl food. Guest can gaze out at London landmarks including The Gherkin, Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf while sipping on a selection of signature cocktails, premium spirits, wines and Champagnes. A bar bites menu is available here, as is the option to host a three-course meal if preferred.
Drinks are led by sommelier Matteo Gallo who has helped curate a wine list of producers from around the world.
