Calling all pasta fans; if you haven't already tried boutique, London-based chain Bancone, this is one Italian restaurant to put on your list. Currently, the group has three locations across the capital, but the Borough Yards site is a particularly special spot for private dining.
The restaurant is brimming with atmosphere, housed within a historic railway arch and guests will love the period features like exposed brick, juxtaposed with crittal windows and industrial touches. While the main restaurant bustles on the ground floor, private dining bookings are invited to take over the first floor mezzanine, allowing you and your friends to soak up the vibes of diners below.
Here, there is capacity for between eight and 20 guests while seated, or 40 guests when standing for a drinks and nibbles-style reception. Guests will be seated around a central table, ensuring that everyone gets the chance to connect. You'll also have access to the upstairs bar, so don't worry, there's no need to trudge downstairs everytime your vino needs topping up.
Private dining bookings are invited to dine from the feasting menu which is designed to cater for larger groups and ensure that everyone gets a taste of what they love. If your guests have any allergies, please speak to the team about this in advance as their are some swaps that can be done.
First of all, start off with some classic rosemary and sea salt focaccia, alongside lardo on toast drizzled with truffled honey and Sardinian Speck complemented by salty caper berries. For vegetarian diners, the grilled artichoke with romesco and dill is a must, and if you're partial to an oyster, try the restaurant's crispy take served with tartare sauce.
For mains, there's plenty to choose from between scallops with miso, pickled fennel and charcoal tagliolini, as well as spicy pork and nduja ragu. While, we love the sound of Borlotti bean ravioli with chicken butter, porcin and wild garlic.
