Situated in South East London, England, Bromley is a town within the London Borough of Bromley, encompassing a vast area that makes it the largest among London boroughs. While the majority of the borough is within the historical county of Kent, its westernmost parts are within the historic Surrey. Bromley's roots tracing back to the establishment of the present borough in 1965. This amalgamation brought together the former boroughs of Beckenham and Bromley, along with the districts of Orpington, Penge, and portions of Chislehurst and Sidcup, all residing within the county of Kent.
