Colonel Saab Trafalgar Square is the second restaurant from Roop Partap Choudhary who opened the first of the same name in Holborn to great success, and expanded to Trafalgar Square in 2023. The venue's concept honours the changing culture of India across many of its regions and is a particular homage to Roop's parents, Colonel Manbeer and Mrs. Binny Choudhary, who travelled the globe throughout the Colonel's career, collecting many treasures as they went.
This location spans a historic, multi-floor building boasting an impressive plethora of venues including the bar, lounge, dining area, a mezzanine, and two private dining rooms. The space is stunning, elaboratly decorating with coral-toned walls, gold-gilded artworks and luxurious ceiling canopies, that flow over the heads of diners.
If planning a large soiree, why not take over the entire ground floor, making the restaurant and bar all yours? This space has capacity for 160 people seated and 180 standing, with a mix of seating options from long banquettes to singular tables. Another option is the mezzanine, which benefits from the view of the incredible, extra large chandeliers, which cascade down throughout the entire building. Here, there's enough room for 65 people seated or 80 to 90 standing.
Or, if a smaller, more intimate supper is what you had in mind, take a look at the Memsaab room with a central dining table for 10 or 20, or transform the space for drinks and nibbles, with enough room for up to 45. Finally, the turquoise-hued Jaipur room also offers long dining tables, this time with capacity for 16 people seated, or 20 to 25 standing.
In terms of menus, there isn't a specific private dining option, so your guests are free to choose from the a la carte, or perhaps the tasting menu for a special occasion.
