The office summer party will be here in no time, along with a huge number of other events to host in the sunshine. Twickenham Stadium has just added another potential venue to your list of options, with its recent launch of The Patch.
The Patch is a stretch of grass outside the stadium’s West Stand, and is well suited to outdoor events such as barbecues, garden parties and sports activities. The space can be used for stand-alone events, or as an extension of indoor conferences or banquets.
The Patch is just one part of Twickenham’s newly-unveiled summer portfolio, with the stadium also having agreed a series of partnerships with leading incentive agencies to help create unforgettable staff experiences. The companies that Twickenham has partnered with include Accomplished Events, Wildgoose, Eventwise, GOTO Events, Right Angle Events and Firebird. Each of these are experts at putting together incentive meetings or events, and the teams can organise everything from corporate sports days to treasure hunts, making use of The Patch while they’re at it.
The Patch is avaialble to hire all summer long
These developments follow on from the launch of the stadium’s East Stand. The new stand is home to the British Airways Rose Garden, which will be open for its first summer and offers an outside/inside space, complete with pizza ovens and rotisserie, as well as a stage that can accommodate a live band and a large bar in the centre of a contemporary, relaxed space. The East Stand also holds The Lock, which is open for summer dining events with a pitch-view.
Nils Braude, catering and conference and events director at Twickenham Stadium, said: “When we launched the East Stand we wanted to try and encourage event organisers to think differently when choosing Twickenham Stadium. Now we’ve reacted to their own feedback and provided them with an outside space that means they can combine different event formats at the stadium and make full use of the facilities we have here.”
The Patch is available for hire throughout the summer.
