If you're throwing the party of the year and need a special space to do it, let us introduce Colonel Saab Trafalgar Square. This is the second restaurant from Roop Partap Choudhary, who was inspired by his parents, Indian Army Officer Colonel Manbeer Choudhary and Mrs. Binny Choudhary, and their travels across India to create a concept that acts as a 'love letter' to both them and his home country.
In terms of location, you couldn't ask for a better spot, situated in the heart of London and across from one of its most famous addresses. With plenty of public transport connections close by, both the underground and national rail, and all the nearby hotels and hospitality options, it's ideal for both guests coming from and out of London.
The venue itself is a multi-story, historic building with gorgeous period features like a conservatory roof, large windows and pillars. Across the space, there's a whopping four different venue options, catering for both huge, lavish soirees and smaller, intimate dinners. To start with, you could take over the entire ground-floor space making the bar and restaurant all yours, if planning something like a coporate event, big birthday or even wedding reception. Here, there's enough space for up to 160 people seated or 180 standing.
Personally, we love the look of the mezzanine which is brimming with atmosphere and extravagent decor details. For example, overhead a purple, velvet wall canopy floats above diners, while guests will also enjoy a spectacular view of the extra large chandelier which cascades throughout the building. This space can cater for up to 65 people seated or 90 standing.
For smaller events, the Memsaab room works for either a central dinner table of 20 people, or open up the space for small bites and drinks for up to 45 people. Equally, the Jaipur area is semi private and has seating for 16, or standing room for 25.
