Following a transformative redevelopment, the
National Theatre's rooftop venue,
The Deck, is up-and-running again - and you're invited to the relaunch party!
On Friday 7 September, you can join for an evening of cocktails, barbeque and make-up styling to get you in the party mood, while taking in the great views of the city from South Bank's it-rooftop.
We're especially excited about the
National Theatre's hair-and make-up team, who will be on hand to give you lush makeovers. Need inspiration for your festival eye make-up? You can get all glittered up with gems and face stickers to create the ultimate party look. Flower props are also available for you to make decorations for your hair, and the team can help you achieve the perfect style. This screams out for Instagramming, and the London skyline forms the perfect backdrop.
And it doesn't stop at that – you can enter a competition for the chance to win a pair of tickets to the
NT's multi award-winning production of
War Horse on 15 December. Simply share your photos from the event on social media using the hashtag
#rooftopreturns – the best one wins.
Apart of all of the obvious reasons above, the venue itself is worth the visit. Sliding glass screens allow the installation to open up to the terrace, creating a free-flowing space inside and out, making it a light and breezy space – even on rainy days.
The
National Theatre's brutalist architecture makes it a seriously cool setting for any event, especially Christmas.
The Deck is available for Christmas parties (100 for dinner, 170 standing), with hand-crafted cocktails made by the mixologists of Understudy (the
NT's successful bar concept). You can also get personalised entertainment from the in-house team.
