Established in 1971, Yamal Alsham offers diners a contemporary take on authentic Lebanese and Syrian cuisine. Set amongst the tranquil Chelsea Harbour, this family-run restaurant combines unparalleled Lebanese hospitality with an extensive menu featuring well-known and much-loved Middle Eastern classics, alongside a global wine list.
The striking dining room features chandeliers, greenery draped from the ceiling, cobalt velvet seating and mirrored walls, creating an ambience of effortless luxury and serenity. As an all-day dining destination, Yamal Alsham is a great spot for many occasions, whether it be a lazy weekend breakfast, a quick lunch between meetings or a special dinner with family.
The impressive a la carte menu begins with a cold mezze section and features favourites like hoummos, tabbouleh, stuffed vine leaves and labneh, perfect for sharing amongst a group. If preferred, there is also hot mezze like lamb kibbeh, grilled halloumi cheese and falafel. To accompany your starters, why not try one of the traditional salads like fattoush, or some of the pastries, filled with the likes of minced lamb and herbs, spinach, and halloumi cheese. For the main event, dig into a selection of charcoal grilled meats like lamb fillet or baby chicken, or opt for something off the speciality list like moussaka or biryani. Finish with a slice of baklava and tea, then retire to the shisha lounge and try one of the many flavours Yamal Alsham offers.
To accompany your meal, there is an extensive global wine list which features favourites from Lebanon, Syria and the Mediterranean, most of which are only available by the bottle. Alternatively, there are plenty of classic and contemporary cocktails to choose from, as well as Lebanese arak, beer and soft drinks options. Every Friday and Saturday after 7pm, there is entertainment such as DJs and live singers, perfect for a vibrant evening out.
