The Anchor Bar is the classy hotel bar at the Chelsea Harbour Hotel, serving a mixture of classic cocktails, whisky, cigars and maritime rum punches, as well as all-day food and afternoon tea. The bar itself pays homage to the age of maritime discovery, with a distinct nautical theme throughout - even the bill comes in a wooden pirate’s chest, complete with a small tipple of grog inside.
The bar itself is smartly decked out with white tablecloths and plenty of foliage, and offers large indoor and outdoor areas to enjoy dinner, drinks, afternoon tea and more. The large terrace is especially popular, as it overlooks the yacht-filled marina at Chelsea Harbour and the gentle comings and goings of the Thames.
The Anchor Bar’s expert mixologists whip up everything from classic cocktails to house mixes - try the Lost sailor (Marsala, Plymouth Gin and Campari) or the Blue Hawaiian (white rum, blue Curacao, coconut cream and pineapple). There’s also an extensive wine list, plenty of spirits and even a few cigars on offer too.
That’s before you get to the food menu, which includes easy-going British and Mediterranean choices. Dishes include aubergine caponata bruschetta, fish and chips, seafood linguini and desserts like vanilla panna cotta and ricotta cheesecake. The Anchor Bar also has an oyster bar, open from Thursday to Saturday in the early evening.
Alongside regular events, The Anchor Bar also hosts afternoon tea overlooking the marina, with fine teas and Champagne accompanied by cakes, classic finger sandwiches and scones.
