There are so many restaurants in the Wirral so that you can find your new favourite place to eat without being lost for options. But, it would be fair to say that you may feel a bit overwhelmed when sifting through these options with no easy way to narrow them down. Luckily, on this page, you'll be able to use the filters on the left hand side of the page in order to whittle down your options, and you’ll be able to find a restaurant that ticks all the boxes with ease. Our filters will even allow you to narrow down your restaurant choices based on budget, the kind of cuisine – which is perhaps the most important part, and much more. The Wirral has got so much on offer, from Brazilian and Greek restaurants, through to ice cream, Japanese, and Middle Eastern. If you like to sit in the sunshine during the summer months, you'll also be able to choose from options including beer gardens, restaurants with great views, waterside dining and outdoor seating with terraces. Depending on the time of day that you’d like to dine, we’ve got breakfast options, bottomless brunch, long pub lunches, evening meals and restaurants that serve late into the night.

A metropolitan borough of Merseyside, the Wirral, as it’s informally known, encompasses just over 60 square miles of the northern part of the Wirral Peninsula. It might not be the biggest borough in the country when it comes to size, but it is home to 1900 listed buildings, 215 churches, 50 towns and villages, 10 lighthouses, five nature reserves, two watermills, and a castle and fort. There’s lots to do in the Wirral, so why not pay a visit to the Eureka! Science + Discovery centre to enjoy a family friendly day out, soak in the culture at the Lady Lever Art Gallery, or take in the beauty at the Birkenhead Priory. It’s said that the Wirral was once land that was heavily overgrown with bog myrtle, and the name Wirral literally means myrtle corner.
