It is rare that I feel the need to write a poor review, but after the appalling service my partner and I received today I feel I should warn people.
i will describe the event I booked the table online last week and requested a secluded table because some important private issues would be discussed.
2 arrived at restaurant we were seen to quickly and offered the choice of two tables the waitress mentioned I had asked for secluded , neither table was secluded, my interpretation of secluded is obviously very different to theirs.
3 once seated we waited such a long time for our drinks order to be taken we were about to leave when the waitress returned we stated we had nearly left she said sorry she would sort drinks and be right back for our food order but no some 15 minutes later drinks arrived and we said we wanted to order yes she said I will be right back but no another 20 minute wait . We were about to leave again when she returned we said we wernt happy with all the waiting she apologised and took our order and said she would make sure it didn't take to long, yes you guessed it another half hour wait for food, when it arrived mine was Milanese chicken just one lonely chicken breast on the plate was told chips were coming, my partners meal was a vegetarian pie luke warm and small but she did have roast Vegtables and Yorkshire pudding, eventually my very greasy chips arrived cold and a bowl of shredded cabbage that was cold hard and uncooked , neither of us could eat any cabbage, we were discussing out dissapontment when halfway through meal the waitress returned and offered extra roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings to be honest surely it should have been on the plates when they were delivered to the table.
also of annoyance was a loose floorboard near our table and every time someone stepped on it which was staff to and froeing from kitchen the table jumped and rocked was very disconcerting.
we finished the meals and after a long wait got the attention of waitress and asked for the bill yes you guessed it after a long wait she returned and straight away I offered my card to pay she said I need to get card machine yes you guessed again she returned after a long wait I paid and we promptly left never to return.
