Northwest London is where you'll find Hatch End, just over 10 miles out of the city centre. The history of the area dates back to the 14th century when it was part of the parish of Harrow. By the 16th century, Hatch End was largely used for farming and it wasn't until the 19th century that it became more of a residential area. Many people who commute into central London live here in Hatch End, as the tree lined streets, parks, woodlands and golf courses make it a very welcome break from busy city life.
