A true family business, Drunch was established in 2013 by duo Hom and Aboudi. Their goal was to create a social club and eatery where friends and family could enjoy great comfort food. Now boasting popular sites in the boujie triple threat of Mayfair, Fitzrovia and Regent’s Park, it’s safe to say that goal has been achieved. The Regent’s Park site serves up brunch, sharing plates, wine, cocktails and mocktails, with plenty of choice in each department.
At Drunch, you can start your day with something light if you so wish. These lighter options feature the likes of granola bowls, avocado on toast with lime and feta or a Greek quinoa salad. Of course, brunch is typically a somewhat decadent affair, and those looking for something a bit more indulgent are well-catered to as well. The full English includes all the trimmings you might expect, while shakshuka and Turkish eggs offer more middle Eastern flavours. There is a vegan full English for those who prefer a plant-based start to their day.
Heading into the evening, the style of the menu switches to a more group-style format. As such, there are vibrant small plates like truffle arancini, breaded halloumi sticks and prawn tacos to choose from. Instagram staples like a plump burrata feature too. When it comes to the more substantial dishes, diners can again enjoy plenty of choice. There are salads, including superfood, chicken or Greek, burgers such as beef, chicken or Beyond Meat and other Mediterranean entries like wild mushroom risotto, prawn linguine and sea bass with artichoke. The ‘naughty’ selection of desserts is as indulgent as you might expect, featuring the likes of churros, cheesecake and chocolate fondant.
Of course, drinks are an important part of the offering at Drunch. The Beatriz is the star of the show here, a show-stopping blend of gin, triple sec, passion fruit, lemon, sugar and 24K edible gold. Elsewhere you’ll find more relaxed cocktails like espresso martinis, picantes and mojitos.
