Drunch has become a fan favourite around Regent's Park and St John's Wood for brunch, dinner and cocktails with a spot of opulence. This restaurant group was started by Syrian relatives Hom and Aboudi back in 2013, and has quickly built a reputation for tasty food and good vibes at three locations in Mayfair, Regent's Park and Fitzrovia.
The Regent's Park site is just on the north side of the Royal Park, a short walk from London Zoo, Primrose Hill and Lord's Cricket Ground in the calm of St John's Wood - one of London's quieter neighbourhoods. The space itself is smart and spacious, with colourful textured walls, gold accents, plush banquettes and draping ochre pendant lights.
Drunch is available to hire as an event space - it's best suited to smaller private groups but the spaces are just as adept for casual gatherings over drinks as they are for private dining. Food is a big part of the offering at Drunch, and there's something on the menu for anyone, at any time of day. From 11am the restaurant serves brunch dishes, from a simple plate of eggs on toast to luxurious Turkish eggs, full English breakfast or a scrambled egg burger with cheese, chilli mayonnaise and jalapenos. Lots of other options are available depending on your mood, from sweet treats like doughnuts and churros, to superfood salads.
Dinner comes in the form of large and small sharing plates, and takes inspiration from classic Mediterranean favourites. On the small plates side there are dishes like prawn tacos with tomato salsa, and sea bass with Kalamata olives, capers and cherry tomatoes, alongside a variety of salads and snacks. Larger plates feature upsized versions of the salads alongside burgers, fish dishes, risotto, pasta and an entrecote steak and chips.
Throw in the signature cocktails, unique dried flower petal-strewn hot drinks and gold leaf cappuccinos, and it's no wonder Drunch has become popular in Maida Vale.
