Just in time for the cosiest season, a new bakery and wine bar has opened in London's Belsize Park, serving up freshly baked goods and natural vino in a friendly, stylish setting. Chamomile Wine & Bakery has a gorgeous location that's right in the heart of the action, surrounded by chi-chi boutiques, cafes, bars and all that other good stuff, just a short walk from both Belsize Park station and Chalk Farm station.
The team are passionate about organic, natural and low intervention wines and have a great offering across red, orange and white. They've even now hosting weekly tasting sessions, inviting guests to try five wines from the menu, so make sure you sign up! But, not only that, they've also hand selected a careful edit of local sake and craft beers, too.
As for food, baked goods are at the heart of the menu, with plenty of options both savoury and sweet. For example, rustic sausage rolls sit next to brie and fig jam croissant sandwiches and fresh bruscetta - all of which can be enjoyed with the likes of a pet nat, or a flat white with coffee sourced from Workshop Coffee - whatever is your vibe. If you're in the mood to graze, choose one of the charcuterie boards with expertly chosen and paired meats and cheeses. As for sweet treats, we love the look of the sticky, indulgent chocolate and walnut babka, and who can say no to a cinnamon bun?
We think you'll love the space, too. Intimate and with a totally independent, neighbourhood feel, this is the kind of spot that'll become a go-to for locals, and worth making the journey across town for for others. Easily noticable from the outside, its sweet, blue facade will catch the eye, while inside plenty of plants, bottle-lined walls and soft lighting is all oh-so-inviting.
