Whether you're a Bath local or planning a visit to this idyllic, historic town, Brasserie Beau is a newly-opened restaurant located in the stylish Hotel Indigo Bath. Located towards the front of the hotel, the space boasts all the gorgeous period features you'd expect to come with a listed Georgian building, from large windows and high ceilings, to characterful wall panelling.
As the name suggests, the restaurant has a French feel and is decorated with a modern take on brasserie seating and vintage posters depicting the Golden Age in Paris. Whether you're dining as a pair or a large group, there's a mix of intimate, smaller tables and bigger areas with cosy banquettes. If a special occasion is coming up, check out the private dining space which will be opening soon and is available for birthdays, corporate functions and even wedding breakfasts. Simply contact the team to chat about your options and the kind of event you'd like to plan.
When it comes to the food, Brasserie Beau is passionate about championing British produce, sourced locally with a focus on seasonality. Take a look at the restaurant's website where the team talk through their range of suppliers, from Huntsham Court Farm which provides them with rare breed beef and Middlewhite pork, to Deer Box in Wiltshire, who manage free-ranging herds of Fallow, Roe, and Muntjac deer.
On the website you'll find a sample menu seperated into small and large plates, as well as house favourites cooked on the grill. You could start off with some smaller plates such as 12 hour French onion soup with gruyere sourdough crouton or Bathurst Estate venison ragu on sourdough toast, followed by mains like whole plaice meunière with caper and brown shrimp butter and broccoli stems, or confit crisp Barbary duck leg with spiced lentils. And, for dessert, we like the sound of the classic treacle tart with crème fraîche.
