Wokingham is a charming market town in Berkshire and lies just 37 miles outside of London, or seven miles south of Reading. During the 14th century, right through to the 16th, Wokingham was known for its bell foundry, which supplied many of the churches across England's south. On Rose Street, you'll be able to spot houses that still stand today, as they were then, and those that were part of the silk production during the Tudor period – another of Wokingham’s acclaimed talents over the years. If you've got family, there are plenty of day trips you can make, and if you consider yourself a history buff you should carve out some time to take a day trip to the nearby Windsor Castle.

But there is still much to see within Wokingham itself. Along with all the history that this town holds, there are plenty of places to shop, sightsee, dine, and have fun. One of the things we love the most about the best restaurants in Wokingham is the variety. You can choose from wine bars and pubs, right through to cafes, hotels, bars, and even boats, but if you're not sure where to start, then our best list is here to help you out.  Check out our ultimate collection of restaurants in Wokingham to find the ones we think are worth booking today.
