Mansfield is a town in beautiful Nottinghamshire on the River Maun. Once, Mansfield was the chief town of Sherwood Forest, where the legend Robin Hood – a medieval vigilante and hero throughout British culture, undertook most of his activities. The forest court was also held in Mansfield's Moot Hall, which was built in 1752. The town of Mansfield has a great sense of community, with lots of great shops, restaurants and fun things to do. The town has a rich history, and has been a market town since 1227. Rebecca Adlington, Richard Bacon and 70s rock star Alvin Stardust all hail from Mansfield.
