Created to make guests feel like they have been transported to a charming corner of Madrid or Barcelona, Lorentes' chefs have a native knowledge of Spanish culture and cuisine, and want to serve you the very best of Spain from all over the country. With a proud Spanish heritage, the team at Lorentes bring a little piece of Spain to the heart of Friargate.
Para empezar kick started the menu, with dishes of pan con tomate, olives, toasted and smoked giant corn and olive oil fried salted almonds. Next up are the sharing boards, which are perfect to enjoy amongst the table. There's the freshly cut, thin slices of 12 month cured Serrano ham along with 18 month cured Iberico de Bellota (known as the very best ham in the world). You can order a platter with serrano, Iberico salchichon, Iberico chorizo and Iberico cured pork loin if you fancy trying a bit of everything. Then there are the cheese platters, with several Spanish options, and a combined board of Serrano ham and the most popular Spanish cheese, manchego.
Tapas is what Lorentes does brilliantly, and you'll get a set selection of meat or vegetarian options. You'll enjoy bread, patatas bravas with aioli, champinones salteados, calamares a la romano, a mix of croquetas, chorizos a la miel, brocheta de pollo, albondigas en salsa de tomato, and paella. You can order tapas separately, too, and options here include pan fried tiger king prawns, white wine sauce mussels, Spanish black pudding huevos rotos, and slow cooked aubergine. There are plenty of main dish paella to choose from, and each is made ready for you to enjoy. Try the blend of chicken breast with wings and green beans, or the classic option of squid, king prawns and mussels.
