Looking for somewhere special to host a celebration in Tenterden or rural Kent? Let us introduce farm-to-table restaurant Hoof & Hook, and it's gorgeous private dining space, The Blue Room.
After seeing the restaurant industry deny customers of sustainable, seasonal produce and offer the same, cookie-cutter experience, this family-run team decided to create something out of the ordinary for their beautiful village. After running their own farm just four miles down the road for generations, they set up their first bricks and mortar in Hoof & Hook, with a fresh, farm-to-table menu and beautiful design.
Hoof & Hook is set in a stunning, historic building boasting rustic ceiling beams, wooden cladded walls and original flooring, with an earthy main dining room, and richly-hued exclusive-use space. Indeed, The Blue Room has enough space to host 40 people seated or 50 people standing, across a selection of medium-sized tables, a cosy lounge area and private bar. Think teal-blue, panelled walls, velvet seating in rich tones of ochre and rust, a fairy light-lit bar and original features like high ceilings and huge, arched windows. It's an incredible space that could just as easily play host to a wedding reception as a birthday party or corporate event.
Of course, all catering is provided in house and you could start the night off with some delicious cocktails like a Cranberry Amaretto Sour or Salted Caramel Espresso Martini. Then, how about some canapes? The team have created a list of hot and cold canapes such as braised beef croquettes with wild garlic aioli and goats cheese and onion tartlet, as well as sharing boards and bites like mini sliders.
For the main event, your guests can pick from the three-course menu with options like asparagus three ways with Chimichurri sauce, followed by beef short rib with artichokes, broad beans and red wine jus, finishing with the likes of coconut panna cotta with passion fruit, raspberries and mint oil.
