Gosfield is a village in Braintree, in Essex. Although the population isn't big, and there aren't a huge number of attractions in Gosfield, it is home to a Grade II listed building that is rather popular. Today, Gosfield Hall is a family owned and run business, part of the Country House Weddings Ltd. But the estate dates back much further than the last few decades, with Gosfield Hall being built in 1545. In the mid to late 16th century, Gosfield Hall became a temporary residence on numerous occasions for Queen Elizabeth I. Throughout the centuries, ballrooms, grand halls and grand salons were built and the estate modernised, but much of the charm still remains.
