After opening in 2014 in Cambridge, Navadhanya has been offering locals and visitors alike a taste of contemporary, Indian fine dining. The restaurant is the brainchild of cousins Krishna Vijayakumar and Arun K Chandran who combined their passion for up-market Indian cuisine, a luxurious dining experience and bringing a modern flair to traditional South Asian flavours. Since then, the restaurant has won multiple awards and been featured in the Michelin Guide, becoming a must-visit in Cambridge.
And, if you're looking for somewhere that also has a private dining offering, you're in luck as Navadhanya boasts two exclusive use spaces which can be all yours for the evening. Both spaces are located on the upper floor of the restaurant and have been decked out in richly-toned decor and atmospheric lighting to give the space a really special feel, fit for any occasion. From birthday parties to corporate events and client meetings, the team here are happy to organise any kind of event, and will work with you personally to ensure it meets your wants and needs.
As for the food, while the team is also happy to create a bespoke menu for you, one of Navadhanya's biggest selling points is its seven-course tasting menu which comes with options for vegans and vegetarians, too. This menu is perfect for a special occasion and the website provides sample examples of all the dishes included. For example, you might start off with scallop moilee which brings together seared scallops with clamp moilee, mango chilli salsa, dried shrimp and charcoal leaf, followed by lamb pulao with grilled lamb chops, bone marrow sauce and jakhiya potato.
All tasting menus can be paired with a wine flight expertly chosen by the team, but as mentioned, if you have something specific in mind give them a call or email for a personalised offering.
