Fanhams Hall is a unique, Jacobean Mansion surrounded by manicured gardens, sprawling lawns and even a wisteria walkway, set in the Hertfordshire countryside, just outside Ware. From its mediaeval hall to the Japanese tea rooms, it's a truly special place with centuries of fascinating history and so, if you're looking for a venue with a difference for your special occasion, this could be it.
The team welcome events bookings, from wedding breakfast to corporate dinners, and across the site there's a selection of stunning spaces to choose between. The largest room is The Great Hall, a historic space with capacity for up to 120 people seated or 200 for an evening reception. Situated in the oldest part of the building, your guests will be privy to original features like wooden beams overhead and ornate fireplaces, as well as views out to Great Hall's lawn.
For a similar sized party but with a more contemporary feel, The Lakeside Pavilion is a purpose-built events suite boasting glass panels and a light, bright atmosphere. It has views out to the fountain, duck pond and Chestnut Lawn, and can accommodate 130 guests for a seated meal or 200 for a standing reception.
Intimate dinner parties are perfectly placed in The Oak Suite, which has space for between 25 to 45 guests. Here, you'll be treated to historic wooden wall panelling and a captivating, carved ceiling, studded with candle-holding chandeliers. It truly is magical. And, finally, there's the Karaoke Klub. Not somewhere to spend the entire evening, but a fabulously fun end to the night after enjoying dinner and drinks.
Catering is provided in house and the team have pre-prepared two kinds of packages to make planning your event easier: formal and informal. Choose between canapes, a drinks reception, three-course meal and refreshments, or something more casual - it's totally up to you.
