Cinnamon Bazaar Richmond is the second venue from this boutique chain, which opened its flagship in Covent Garden in 2016. The restaurant's concept is all about offering diners a contemporary take on Indian cuisine, specifically inspired by the street food found at the marketplaces that lie on the various trading routes that connect the empires of the 'Old World'.
The Richmond restaurant is a stunning mix of saturated pastel hues and quirky decor touches, like a ceiling papered in broadsheets and a statement bar, lined with a crimson-red frill. If you're looking for somewhere to host a special occasion in Richmond, with its jaw-dropping design and flavourful food menu, Cinnamon Bazaar makes for an impressive backdrop for lunch, dinner or drinks.
The team here welcome events bookings and offer a selection of private dining options. You're invited to host up to 45 people in the back half of the restaurant for a semi-private experience or in the summer months, 35 people can be hosted outside on the terrace. If a more relaxed affair of drinks and nibbles is the order of the day, try a standing reception for up to 25 people at the stunning bar, and absorb the buzz of the restaurant.
As for the food, the chefs have developed a range of special group dining menus which you are invited to order from, priced per head. There are three options at different price points, offering both casual dining and a three-course meal with sides and appetisers.
You can check out sample menus online, but for a taste of what to expect, there's the likes of stir-fried shrimp with cracked pepper and curry leaf lime crumble to start, followed by mains like kale, quinoa, chickpea and jackfruit dumpling with Nilgiri korma, and desserts of soft saffron whipped cream and almond.
