The Brindisa story begins back in 1980s Catalonia, when the founder had settled into Spanish life and started to enjoy the ingredients and flavours around her. You may struggle to believe it, but back then, Brits didn't have too much interest in Spanish food, and so Monika set out on a mission to bring delicious Spanish food to the UK.
Since opening its first restaurant in Borough Market, Brindisa Tapas has opened in iconic locations across the city, including in Battersea Power Station, Soho and South Kensington and here, on the river in Richmond-upon-Thames. The food here includes some of the best hand-selected ingredients from small producers in Spain, and fresh produce from local suppliers in the UK. Can you think of a better place to host your private dining booking? We can’t.
Spanish food has that very homely feel to it, encouraging diners to feel at home, and so hosting your special booking in one of Brindisa's private dining rooms couldn't feel like more of a perfect fit.
There are specially designed group dining menus, so that you can enjoy the menu at its best in a group setting that feels authentic – a sharing, heartfelt style. The menu begins with entradas of tabla mixta, a cheese selection served with classic tortilla, charcuterie, 25 bakery sourdough and butter, quince and picos de pan. You can choose to add on a round of croquetas each, and we wouldn't be able to say no. The plato principal is a mixed plate of Alijandro chorizo, txuleta rubia gallega, Padron peppers, patatas bravas and chimichurri. Guarniciones include brocoli a la catalana, more sourdough, and garbanzos a la catalana. To finish, enjoy the tarta de Santiago.
