The sixth site for the Brindisa group finds its home in picturesque Richmond, boasting a plum location on the banks of the River Thames. This is the first time that the group, co-founded by restaurateurs Monika Linton and Ratnesh Bagdai, has opened a site in the London suburbs, with previous locations being more centrally located in London Bridge, Soho and Shoreditch to name just a few.
Open all day, Brindisa Richmond is a relaxed, welcoming space that evokes the feel of a traditional Spanish tapas bar. The main dining room features intimate booths which are suited to small groups, while diners who are keen to see the kitchen team in action can pull up a stool at a dining counter which overlooks the open kitchen. There is also a conservatory-style dining area which is flooded with natural light and allows for riverside views, while during the warmer months guests can make the most of a large outdoor terrace which overlooks the river, making it a smart choice for alfresco dining at breakfast, lunch or dinner.
As for the menu, you can expect to find all of the usual Brindisa signatures that customers have grown to love over the years, such as Iberian ham croquettes, chilli and garlic prawns and patatas bravas. The Richmond site also opens on Sundays for a Spanish-style feasting roast, while those looking for something a little more casual can enjoy an extended bar menu in the venue’s pub-style drinking area.
Diners serious about their Spanish produce should head to Brindisa Richmond’s Bodega Room, where you can find a range of carefully considered Spanish cheeses, Iberico hams and single-estate rare wines. Guests are able to shop the collection to take back home with them and the space is also available for private functions.
