We’re
very excited about the new Edwardian Hotels London property that is slated to be opening in
Leicester Square. The Londoner (we like the name) will be a five-star hotel spread across 15 floors and it’s good news for event bookers.
We will have to wait until 2020 to see it in the flesh, though, but with a 1,000-capacity ballroom, 15 suites, a rooftop, two
Odeon Luxe cinemas and no less than five restaurants, it’ll no doubt be worth the wait.
The 350-key hotel will be designed by interiors mastermind Yabu Pushelberg, so we’re expecting some great looks from the man behind icons such as the London Edition and Four Seasons Hotel Downtown New York. Architect Woods Bagot is also part of the design team.
Constructing a brand-new 15-floor property in the middle of the West End is ambitious, but Iype Abraham, commercial development director at the luxury hotel brand reassures: ‘The Londoner exemplifies Edwardian Hotels London’s bold philosophy. Building a complex and ambitious project in an iconic area is a demonstration of our commitment to London.’
